Wuthering Waves Version 3.8 Set For Nov. 12 Release, Brings PSSR Support On PS5

Wuthering Waves version 3.8 will launch on November 12, 2026, Kuro Games has announced. The update is titled Lilies in a Dying Dream, and will add a number of new features to the game, including PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) for PS5 Pro owners, a new main quest and tactical Hologram Challenge, and heaps more.

For those out of the loop, Wuthering Waves is a free-to-play open-world RPG that originally plucked inspiration from Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding, whereby the aim was to create a post-apocalyptic world where players can witness the fusion of new and old civilisations. The game originally released for Android, iOS and PC in May 2024, and was released for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in January 2025 and July 2026, respectively.

• Optimizations
  • Rover’s Resonance Conversion Optimization – In Version 3.8, Rover’s Resonance Conversion page is overhauled, featuring a new, more streamlined user interface. After Resonance Conversion, the equipped Echo set will be automatically switched to the one for the corresponding Resonance Attribute. (Rover can be equipped with Echo sets individually for each Resonance Attribute.)
  • Guidebook and Challenge Optimization – In Version 3.8, a Material Locator button is added to the Material Collection page of Guidebook and the Resonator Ascension Planner, allowing you to teleport to unlocked challenges that drop the required materials on the map or start the challenges immediately. After completing a challenge for material collection, you can enable the new Blitz Mode when claiming rewards, which allows you to restart the challenge immediately without reloading.
  • Resonator Animation Optimization – Version 3.8 features optimized Resonator animations, with a focus on turning in place, movement transitions, and hit reactions in combat, to deliver smoother controls and improved visual quality.
  • PC Client Optimization – In Version 3.8, when playing on PC, you can choose between Full Resources and Basic Resources in the PC Launcher based on your needs. An upgraded Resource Cleanup feature is also available on PC to help you manage game resources and free up storage space. (These features are being rolled out gradually as part of a limited test.   • Console Graphics and Performance Optimization – When playing on supported consoles, you can choose between Performance and Quality under Graphics Quality settings based on your needs. (This setting is currently unavailable on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S. On PlayStation 5 Pro, you can enable PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) to enhance image resolution up to 4K for sharper visuals.)
