Borrowing A Gold Coin From A Portrait is a quest in Genshin Impact that you can start in Port Belovodye. Speak to Khrenov, who's talking to two other officers, then follow the quest to help the detective recover illegal devices and unravel a criminal scheme. This quest is listed on the Meeting Point: Royal Railway Transport Bureau World Quests section, rewarding six Cryo Sigils upon completion.
Borrowing A Gold Coin From A Portrait Quest In Genshin Impact
You can trigger the Borrowing A Gold Coin From A Portrait quest in Port Belovodye. Use the northern waypoint, then head south through the bridge. In the middle of the bridge, you'll find three officers in red. One of them has a blue exclamation mark on their head, indicating a quest.
Here are the steps to completing the Borrowing A Gold Coin From A Portrait quest in Genshin Impact:
- Follow Khrenov into Port Belovodye
- Chase down the thief
- Defeat Master Smolin
- Recover the "devices"
- Regroup with Khrenov and Nemka
- Recover the last "device"
- Talk to Khrenov
- Head to Smolin's headquarters
- Defeat Smolin and his subordinates
Most of the steps are pretty straightforward, and you simply need to follow the quest markers. The only notable things are:
- When you're chasing down the thief, it doesn't matter if you caught up to her or not. You can only stop chasing after she leads you to Master Smolin. So simply follow her and don't try too hard.
- Recovering the devices can be tricky if you only look at obvious places and not hidden spots.
For completing the mission, you will get the following rewards:
- 30 Primogem
- 2 Hero's Wit
- 3 Mystic Enhancement Ore
- 20k Mora
- 250 Adventure EXP
How To Recover The Device
When you get the quest to recover the "devices" in Genshin Impact, go to the marked orange area on the map. The first device is hidden behind the bushes. Approaching the area will make Paimon say something about a rustling sound and something crawling around in the grass.
Walk toward the device and press "Retrieve!" to take it. For this device, I had to press several times and investigate several spots before the game registered that I interacted with the machine.
The second device is hidden inside a container. Use a Grappling Gun Prime Ice Construct to pull the hook on the box, breaking the side open.
The last device is above Khrenov and Nemka. Find your way up, and you'll see the device moving back and forth on the pipe above. Approach the device to retrieve it.
