Dragon Quest Smash/Grow Dragon Quest IV crossover event revealed, available

Square Enix has announced that Dragon Quest Smash/Grow, the roguelite RPG Dragon Quest game, has a new crossover event with Dragon Quest IV from now until December 15.

Tomorrow, the mobile roguelite RPG DRAGON QUEST Smash/Grow will launch a new DRAGON QUEST IV crossover event, which features a range of new content drawn from one of the series’ most beloved entries. The collaborative event also runs alongside the game’s Half Anniversary celebration, as well as the release of a new equipment set. 

DRAGON QUEST IV Crossover Event

Running now through December 15 (UTC), players will encounter iconic DRAGON QUEST IV characters and can unlock Ally Blessings, special skills that summon them mid-stage to aid the party with their unique powers. As bond levels increase, players will earn items and Ally Blessings. The new power, Memoria Skills, will be added in a future update during the event period. This is a power that activates when you raise a Character Memory to Rank S and equip it in a ★-marked slot whose color matches the Memory’s own color. Character Memories obtained can be raised to Rank S, allowing players to call upon DRAGON QUEST IV characters to aid them even after the event has ended.

Half Anniversary Celebrations

To celebrate the six-month milestone, players can receive special login bonuses through December 15, including up to 5,000 free gems. A special promotion that boosts both Adventurer Rank EXP and gold coins earned when completing certain stages is also available until November 4. The Adventurer Rank EXP boost is limited to players with an Adventurer Rank of 29 or below.

Zenithian Set Equipment Added

The series weapon, the Zenithian Sword, comes with the Coup de Grâce “Zenithian Strike,” a soaring slice that cleaves through nearby enemies and deals physical wind damage. It also features the Enchantment “Zenithian Blast,” which unleashes six wind-infused blasts on every 10th mighty strike.
