Netmarble has released a new update for monster-taming action RPG Mongil: Star Dive, adding 5-star character Vivian alongside a limited-time event and new Epic Quest. The developer also shared an updated roadmap, with Version 1.4 scheduled for September 30. The update is now available on mobile devices and PCs via the Epic Games Store.
Vivian originally appeared in Monster Taming and received the most votes in a pre-launch popularity poll featuring characters from the 2013 game. In Mongil: Star Dive, she appears as a member of the traveling dance company Fluffy Tail Troupe.
The new 5-star character is a Fire-attribute Support unit specializing in Fire parties. Her abilities increase Fire damage and apply Fire-attribute debuffs, allowing her to support allies of the same attribute.
Vivian’s arrival also kicks off the Bunny Showgirl’s Eternal Encore event, which will remain available for three weeks. Event missions and dungeons provide currency that can be exchanged for Summon Tickets, growth materials, and other rewards. Players can also access the new Epic Quest Collector of Desires for additional story content focused on Vivian.
Netmarble detailed its next several updates during a September 2 livestream. Version 1.4 will launch on September 30 with Episode 7 and the new Gaba Archipelago region. Returning character summon banners and special events are also planned for the game’s six-month anniversary.
Version 1.5 will revamp the Friend System and add new Ranking and Honor systems. Version 1.6 is planned to introduce Holiday and New Year stories, character epilogues, and new Affinity and Interaction content. Netmarble has not announced release dates for either update.
Mongil: Star Dive is available on PC and mobile devices.
