A receiver makes an impossible catch. A lineman slips through and barrels toward the quarterback. A handoff is fumbled and the game is up for grabs. These are the moments that define college football each season, and now you can get closer to them than ever before, with immersive games from ESPN on Meta Quest, and soon, Meta VR Glasses.

We’ve teamed with ESPN to offer select live, 180-degree immersive games all season long on the TV app, at no additional cost — starting with the No. 1 Texas Longhorns taking on the Oklahoma Sooners on October 10 in the Red River Rivalry at the Cotton Bowl. The Golden Hat trophy is on the line, and you’ll be able to catch all the action and drama as if you were really there.

Immersive games provide a better perspective from home than you’ve ever had before, with front-row views that puts you on the sideline as a game unfolds. You get live 8K streaming with Dolby Atmos, and 180-degree views that make it possible to see the entire field. And if you can’t catch a game as it happens, watch immersive full-game replays* and highlights on demand.

These two bitter rivals clashing is just the start. ESPN is bringing select immersive games to the TV app every week through the regular season. Then you’ll have the best seat in the house, wherever you are, for Conference Championship Weekend and the College Football Playoff, including the 2027 CFP National Championship in January.

We’ve got a lot more sports coming your way. And with Meta VR Glasses coming this spring, you’ll get the best seat, a phenomenal screen, and the most comfortable VR device we’ve ever made — perfect for the more than 100 immersive live sporting events that’ll be available to watch through the first year of Meta VR Glasses’ release.

You can find all sorts of great content on Meta Quest right now, including 2D streaming apps, movies and TV shows, and immersive sports and concerts. And as we showed at Connect 2026, we’ve got even more in store in 2027 with the release of Meta VR Glasses — so stay tuned.
